It is the ideal next step for students wishing to pursue a new career in this area. The course is designed to prepare students to sit the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers Level 2 Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping.
Subjects covered include: VAT returns; cash books; reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger accounts; correction of errors, bank reconciliation statements; trading and profit and loss accounts for a sole trader; balance sheet for a sole trader; year-end ledger entries; non-profit making organisations.

The course includes all study material, course textbook, Practical Bookkeeping, a detailed guide to study skills, and full tutorial support from your expert personal tutor. The course also includes an exam guide with useful advice and guidance for students preparing to sit the exam.
On successful completion of the course students are awarded a learning curve certificate of course completion and are also well-prepared to sit the ICB Level 2 Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping.
Our course is composed of 5 easy-to-follow modules. There are 5 tutor-marked assignments.
Students are required to arrange their own examinations and to pay an examination fee. We recommend that students join the ICB as soon as they enrol on our course, as they must be registered in order to sit the exam. There is an annual registration fee of £45 for students. The Level 2 exam can be taken at a local examination centre - most students find that there is a centre within easy travelling distance of their home. There is an exam fee of £25 which is payable directly to the ICB.
