Performance Management and Appraisals are an essential component of the effective workplace. When well-planned and thoughtfully integrated they allow people to understand their roles within the company, be assessed on the quality of their work, and gain extra support and encouragement when required. However, many managers find performance management challenging and uncomfortable. Often they feel ill-prepared. This course introduces a range of techniques and approaches that allow managers to integrate performance management into their day-to-day work. It also shows them how to handle difficult situations and convey criticism in a constructive way, as well using recognition and praise to improve performance.
